MESSAGE TO CELTIC THUNDER FANS

First of all I want to let you all know how delighted I am by your enthusiastic response to STORM. I must confess to a soft spot for that show since it was almost all original material and I had such fun writing it. Secondly, it is with a heavy heart that I reluctantly have to give you some bad news.Unfortunately I had a parting of the ways with Celtic Thunder some months back and sadly am no longer involved in any capacity.

As my swansong, I have recorded an orchestral album of some of the most popular songs from all the Celtic Thunder shows, called "HEARTLAND -- THE COMPOSER'S SALUTE TO CELTIC THUNDER". It will be released next month on Shanachie Records. I put a lot of energy,care and attention into this album to make it a fitting farewell to a project that has been such an important part of my life. Thank you all for being with me on that journey and for being such great listeners.

I AM OVERWHELMED AND TOUCHED THAT HUNDREDS OF YOU HAVE TAKEN THE TIME AND THE TROUBLE TO MAKE CONTACT TO REGISTER YOUR SUPPORT, AND YOUR SADNESS. THE CHANGES WITHIN CELTIC THUNDER THIS YEAR HAVE INDEED BEEN DRAMATIC AND I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERNS. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU KNOW THAT I DID NOT SIMPLY WALK AWAY. THAT IS JUST NOT MY STYLE.

LIFE GOES ON AND I AM BUSIER THAN EVER, WITH THE RELEASE OF ‘HEARTLAND’ AND A COUPLE OF NEW PROJECTS I’M DEVELOPING. I’LL BE STARTING A BLOG HERE ON MY SITE SO DO KEEP IN TOUCH.
